The Interreg Sudoe programme is part of the European Union\u2019s cohesion policy and aims to boost regional development in the southwest of Europe, supporting projects that address common challenges such as climate change, territorial inequality, and the digital transformation of strategic sectors.<\/p>\n

\nArantxa Monteagudo presented Agerpix to the rest of the consortium. This new international project, involving partners from Spain, France, and Portugal, aims to develop artificial intelligence and autonomous robotics solutions for advanced crop monitoring and human-robot collaboration in agricultural tasks. FRUCTHOR-AI is led by the Centre for Automation and Robotics (CAR-CSIC) and brings together an international consortium of key institutions with extensive experience in agri-food innovation. FRUCTHOR-AI aims to enhance the sustainability, competitiveness, and territorial cohesion of the agri-food sector through an ecosystem of open innovation and collaboration among key regional stakeholders. \nThe initiative focuses particularly on rural and inland areas of southwest Europe \u2014 regions with strong productive potential but also facing technical, financial, and labour challenges that the project seeks to address.<\/p>\n
\nSpanish partners include the Advanced Centre for Aerospace Technologies (CATEC) and the Technological Institute of Castilla y Le\u00f3n (ITCL).
\nFrench partners include the Chamber of Agriculture of Dordogne (Chambre d\u2019agriculture de la Dordogne) and the Graduate School of Advanced Industrial Technologies (ESTIA).
\nFrom Portugal, the Association of Municipalities of Cova da Beira, the Polytechnic Institute of Bragan\u00e7a (CeDRI \u2013 IPB), and the Polytechnic Institute of Viseu also participate.<\/p>\n
