We are launching an ambitious European project with a total budget of €1,789,850, co-financed at 75% by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) through the Interreg Sudoe programme.
The Interreg Sudoe programme is part of the European Union’s cohesion policy and aims to boost regional development in the southwest of Europe, supporting projects that address common challenges such as climate change, territorial inequality, and the digital transformation of strategic sectors.

Arantxa Monteagudo presented Agerpix to the rest of the consortium.
This new international project, involving partners from Spain, France, and Portugal, aims to develop artificial intelligence and autonomous robotics solutions for advanced crop monitoring and human-robot collaboration in agricultural tasks.
The initiative focuses particularly on rural and inland areas of southwest Europe — regions with strong productive potential but also facing technical, financial, and labour challenges that the project seeks to address.
FRUCTHOR-AI is led by the Centre for Automation and Robotics (CAR-CSIC) and brings together an international consortium of key institutions with extensive experience in agri-food innovation.
Spanish partners include the Advanced Centre for Aerospace Technologies (CATEC) and the Technological Institute of Castilla y León (ITCL).
French partners include the Chamber of Agriculture of Dordogne (Chambre d’agriculture de la Dordogne) and the Graduate School of Advanced Industrial Technologies (ESTIA).
From Portugal, the Association of Municipalities of Cova da Beira, the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança (CeDRI – IPB), and the Polytechnic Institute of Viseu also participate.
FRUCTHOR-AI aims to enhance the sustainability, competitiveness, and territorial cohesion of the agri-food sector through an ecosystem of open innovation and collaboration among key regional stakeholders.
Thanks to applied knowledge and cutting-edge technology developed by Agerpix, the initiative will help digitize agricultural processes in real environments, promoting a smarter, more efficient, and environmentally responsible production model.
