LIFE-AIS PROJECT

The Agerpix team is celebrating!

We are part of the LIFE-AIS consortium, together with a leading technology provider, Pulverizadores Fede, who also leads the project, and key producers such as Castillo de Canena and Dominio Fournier, a winery belonging to the González Byass family.

The consortium has received support from the European Union’s LIFE environmental programme.

The project (Project 101074540 — LIFE21-ENV-ES-Life-Ais) aims to generate valuable information that enables precise plantation management. Life-AIS: See & Save, allows for the determination of plantation vigor, detection of diseases, and crop forecasting. All of this helps farmers make informed decisions and apply tools with accuracy and in real time, resulting in reduced input use and significant environmental and economic benefits for producers.

Agerpix and Fede will create synergies that enable producers to benefit from the combination of their cutting-edge technologies. With “AIS” —a term referring to the ability to see through artificial intelligence and innovative processing— users can visualize vigor, detect diseases, and forecast performance, allowing them to act accordingly in terms of pesticide use, dosage, fertilization, irrigation, and more, achieving significant savings in inputs.

The project has a duration of 54 months and aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, save up to 43% in phytosanitary products, 20% in fertilizers, 31% in fuel, and up to 13% in electricity annually. With these objectives, the project demonstrates alignment with environmental policies and contributes to the goals set out in the EU Green Deal’s Farm to Fork Strategy.
