The Spanish Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food has awarded Agerpix Technologies €212,771.95 to carry out the activities planned under the PREVID Operational Group (GO-PreVid): Advanced Digitalisation and Agronomic Prediction in Table Grapes through Quadruped Robotics, Computer Vision and Artificial Intelligence.
The Soria-based technology company is coordinating the Operational Group, which is being developed in collaboration with Tecnova, a technology centre; MOYCA Grapes, a table grape producer; and Codesian, a technology company. Together, the partners bring expertise in agriculture, computer vision, artificial intelligence, robotics and precision agriculture.
Autonomous robotics for table grape production
The objective of GO-PreVid is to drive the agronomic digitalisation of table grape production using open-air trellis systems through an innovative solution that integrates autonomous quadruped robotics, computer vision and artificial intelligence.
The grant will enable Agerpix Technologies, in collaboration with Tecnova, to develop an autonomous quadruped robot specifically for this purpose.
The final result will be a pioneering technology solution designed to help improve the competitiveness of the table grape sector, optimise production processes, reduce operating costs, make agricultural activity more sustainable and provide detailed, accurate agronomic information to support more efficient, data-driven decision-making.
Support for agricultural innovation
The grant is intended to support the preparation and implementation of innovation projects of general interest promoted by Supra-Autonomous Operational Groups under the European Innovation Partnership for Agricultural Productivity and Sustainability (EIP-AGRI).
These grants, launched in advance in 2025 as part of Spain’s CAP Strategic Plan (PEPAC), aim to encourage collaboration between different stakeholders across the agri-food sector to develop innovative solutions that improve competitiveness, sustainability and knowledge transfer.
A €592,713.92 innovation project
GO-PreVid has a total budget of €592,713.92, financed by FEGA (Spanish Agricultural Guarantee Fund), with 80% funded through EAFRD (European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development) and the remaining 20% through national funding.
